A curated marketplace, not a megastore

For the makers, menders,
and rule-breakers.

SCRAPD is a curated marketplace for upcycled, handmade, and reimagined goods—fashion, home, and creative materials—where every creator is real and every piece has a story.

Why SCRAPD

Built for makers. Not for inventory.

SCRAPD isn't another marketplace trying to sell everything. It's built specifically for people who make things — by hand, with intention.

Every creator is vetted

A real human reviews every application. No mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no copy-paste shops.

Every piece has a story

Hand-altered, mended, dyed, reworked, reborn. Fashion as expression, not as inventory.

Pay first? Sell later? Never.

No monthly fees. No listing fees. You only pay when you sell — and your rate is locked the day you're approved.

A community of craft

Built for creators, not corporations. Real people answering real messages — including the founder herself.

How it works

Four steps from SCRAPD to shipped.

No listing fees. No monthly subscription. You only pay when you sell.

1

Apply

Tell us what you make and link your work. Five-minute application — no portfolio polish required.

2

72-hour review

A real human (often Sherry herself) reviews every application within three days. We say yes when the work fits.

3

List your pieces

Upload photos, set your price, write the story. Your storefront lives inside a marketplace shoppers actually browse.

4

Ship and get paid

Buyer pays through Stripe. We handle the split. Payouts land after delivery — no surprise holds, no manual chasing.

The line in the sand

Curated, not crowded.

We are picky on purpose. It's the only way buyers know everything here is the real thing.

Meet the founder

Sherry Hewitt

Sherry founded SCRAPD from a lifelong philosophy rooted in resourcefulness. She grew up in environments where nothing was wasted — items were held onto, repaired, and reused rather than discarded. That mindset shaped her approach to clothing as something to reshape, rework, and bring back to life rather than treat as disposable.

Her creative practice evolved from circular thinking principles: extending garment lifecycles, reducing waste, and honoring existing materials. But she recognized how easily that intention gets lost in a fast-fashion-dominated world built around overproduction and excess.

For Sherry, this isn't a trend. It's a lifelong way of seeing the world — and a belief that what we already have is more than enough, if we're willing to reimagine it.

A note from Sherry

SCRAPD is a small place,
built by a real person.

Every application reaches me

I read each one personally. If it's a yes, I'll tell you. If it's a no, I'll tell you why. No silent rejections.

Honest economics

Whatever rate you're approved at is locked in — for life. Not a teaser. Not "we'll review it later." The deal you sign up for is the deal you keep.

You're never alone in a dispute

If something goes sideways with a buyer, the platform stands behind you. Real mediation, not a help-desk script.

The roadmap is yours

What gets built next comes from creators in the SCRAPD community. Not a product committee. Not growth metrics.

Common questions

Things people ask before joining.

Quick answers to the questions we get most often. Read all FAQs →

Will I get hit with import fees?

For most US–Canada shipments, no. Orders $800 or less generally ship duty-free under current de minimis thresholds, and gifts under $100 USD are typically duty-free as well. Items made in Canada, USA, or Mexico (with correct customs documentation) usually qualify for tariff-free treatment under USMCA. Higher-value orders over $800 might incur import fees — check with your country's customs for specifics. Every shipment from SCRAPD has correct customs documentation, so there are no surprises at your door.

When will SCRAPD open to buyers?

We're in private beta with our first 30 founding creators. Buyers can join the waitlist now — we'll email you the moment we're live with stock you can shop.

How do I know creators are real and not dropshippers?

Every creator goes through a manual 72-hour review where Sherry herself looks at their work, their links, and their answers. Dropshippers, fast-fashion resellers, AI-generated listings, and anyone selling stock from a warehouse they've never been to are rejected. If a listing slips through that doesn't fit, message us — we take down listings and ban repeat offenders.

How does the 5% Founding Creator rate work?

The first 50 creators we approve get a 5% commission rate, locked in for life. After the founding 50, the standard rate is higher — but whatever rate you're approved at is yours forever. No teaser pricing, no “we'll review it later.” The day-one deal is the deal you keep.

When and how do creators get paid?

Payouts go through Stripe Connect (you'll connect your Stripe account during onboarding). After a buyer's order is marked delivered, your earnings (sale price minus your commission rate) move from pending to your Stripe balance. Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule — typically every 2–7 days depending on country and account history. You can see your balance and payout history any time in your Stripe dashboard.
